Alocasia

Alocasias are bold, architectural houseplants grown for their striking foliage and unmistakable presence. Known for their large, arrow-shaped leaves and dramatic veining, these plants instantly elevate any indoor space. Native to tropical regions of Asia and eastern Australia, Alocasias thrive in warm conditions with bright light, consistent moisture, and high humidity.

Often called "elephant ears," (not to be confused with Colocasia, which are also commonly called elephant ears) these plants are prized for their stunning foliage. While they have a reputation for being a bit particular, Alocasias are incredibly rewarding once you understand their preferences and seasonal growth cycles.

Not subtle. Not boring. Definitely worth the attention.
