Hoya

Hoyas, often called wax plants, are beloved for their thick, glossy leaves and clusters of star-shaped, fragrant flowers. Native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Australia, these vining plants naturally grow climbing trees in warm, humid forests - which makes them beautifully suited to bright indoor spaces with good airflow.

Their leaves are typically succulent-like, helping them tolerate brief dry spells, and many varieties develop long trailing vines that are perfect for hanging baskets or trellises. When mature and grown in bright light, Hoyas produce intricate blooms that look almost unreal - waxy, geometric, and often sweetly scented, especially in the evening.

Patient. Resilient. And absolutely worth the wait!
